The Future of Search is Social - video interview with search expert Mike Grehan

smarter every day

Dear Customers,

I am happy to announce our new Enterprise Intelligence Plattform. For the first time you can now get all your relevant Web content, Office Content, Collaboration and Fresh Qitera Intelligence in one place.

Qitera was founded with the mission to build a new generation of search solutions that deliver meaningful results in a more intuitive way. As the amount of data is exploding, finding relevant information to make smart decisions has become a challenge in most organizations. We built a search technology platform that reflects the fundamental paradigm shifts taking place today.

Social Search – As the web has become the prime source of information, making sense of the users search and sharing activities is a key step to better search results based on the collective wisdom of the organization. That is how search gets social.

Simple Search – As users are getting accustomed to Google, enterprise search products have to become more user-friendly and have to deliver relevant results in a much more intuitive way.

Semantic Search – As the amount of unstructured content is exploding, semantic web technologies provide the chance to mark up and structure information in a more meaningful and graph-based way.

Search as a Service – As traditional enterprise search systems are associated with high-volume licensing fees and installation costs, web-based search services offer significant customer benefits in terms of flexibility, scalability and TCO.

CeBIT, Webciety, Hall 6, March 3 - 8

With our partner, T-Systems MMS, we share a booth at CeBIT - (still) the worlds largest IT Show. Today was the first public speech about Qitera Enterprise in the Webciety Area in hall 6. The easiness of the platform, the nice positioning of Qitera between Google and Autonomy and the clear need for SaaS and Enterprise 2.0 truly boosted our wildest dreams. Please come and visit us until March 8 in hall 6, T3.02 to get an insight of how to maximise the value within your organization.

Social Search in Google

One of the most annoying things in "Search" is the neverending loop of searching things we already found previously. We search again and again and again for similar things - and the worst: our friends and coworkers most probably also search for similar things.

In capturing whole pages from the web, Qitera already did the first important step: Building your personal search index. No Tags anymore. No lost content no vanished articles. All stored for eternity in your personal index. Open it to friends or co-workers and benefit from what they know and ready is your social search index.

With Qitera Assist we do another important step: Integrating your personal Index into Google, MSN and Yahoo!. You now FIRST get pages from YOUR pages, things you already found and THAN from the web.

How does it work?
The Qitera plug-in captures a query in Google or Yahoo! and sends the search term to Qitera. We than take your search results and display them right before the "official" Google results.
